- Page 2 ENGLISH VDV Distance Meter The Klein Tools Distance Meter determines the length of a particular cable by measuring the total capacitance of the cable attached to the unit and comparing that to a preset or user defi ned capacitance per foot variable.
- Page 3 To ensure safe operation and service of the tester, follow these instructions. Failure to observe these warnings can result in severe injury or death. The VDV Distance Meter is not designed to work on live electrical circuits. Do not under any cirumstances connect this device to live circuits. If a voltage is detected, the device will be disabled until the voltage is removed.
