Set Your Wi-Fi Hotspot
You can change the name of your portable Wi-Fi hotspot (SSID),
secure it with a password, and set other options.
1. Touch the ​ H ome ​ k ey ​ >
2. Touch ​ W i-Fi hotspot​ and set the following options.
Configure:

Network name:​ Enter or edit the network name that
other devices see when scanning for Wi-Fi networks.
Channel: ​ T o avoid interference with other Wi-Fi
networks, try using a different channel.
Security:​ Choose a security option, ​ O pen​ (not
recommended)​ ​ o r ​ W PA2 PSK​ (other users can
access your Wi-Fi hotspot only if they enter the
correct password). When you select ​ W PA2 PSK​ ,
touch the ​ P assword​ field to edit the security
password.
Broadcast network name (SSID): ​ C heck to
broadcast or uncheck to hide your network name
(SSID). If the broadcast is disabled, other users need
to get your network SSID to find the Wi-Fi hotspot.
Manage users: ​ B lock or unblock users, or set the

maximum number of devices that can connect to the
hotspot simultaneously.
Sleep policy: ​ S et hotspot sleep policy and notification.
