No more rewinding
Imagine never having to fast forward or rewind again. With Pioneer's DVD Recorder those days are gone. Every
time a new programme is burned to a DVD-RW disc in "DVD Video Recording" mode, the recorder
automatically creates a thumbnail image of the opening scene on an easy-to-use menu page. As each new
recorded event is given its own numbered sequence, jumping to your favourite scene is a snap. No more
hunting through six hours of VHS videotape to find what you're looking for – with DVD Recording everything
happens at the touch of a button.
Quality control
In the old days of VCR recording, you were faced with the choice of sacrificing video quality for longer playing
time. We have the solution: variable bit rate recording. The Pioneer DVD Recorder can use this innovative
feature to calculate the remaining space on a DVD-RW disc and then select the highest possible recording
quality for the amount of time needed to capture your programme.
Editing possibilities: Edit your favourite memories
And the award for the best editing goes to...You!
Fancy editing hasn't traditionally been a hallmark of the average home movie. Who hasn't sat
through fifteen minutes of the back of someone's head while watching a wedding video? With the
Pioneer DVD Recorder, creating an entertaining home movie is a piece of cake for even novice directors!
For starters, you can seamlessly cut and edit camcorder footage directly in the digital domain, so there is no
degradation of footage. The Pioneer DVD Recorder includes an i.LINK input (it is equipped with a DV in/out
terminal for easy DV camcorder recording on a DVD-R or DVD-RW disc, to meet user demands) that connects
directly to your camera. This way you can make all your edits and then simply hit "record". You'll have a high-
resolution DVD of your family event that doesn't send your friends to sleep.

No quality loss/perfect and easy storage
The safest place to store your most valuable possessions – your memories.
Did you know your life's most precious moments are slowly disappearing? It
is true. As you read this, all the football matches, birthday parties, weddings
and celebrations you've documented on videotape are deteriorating. DVDs,
on the other hand, can store up to six hours of footage and have a lifespan
of many decades with no degradation in audio and video quality.
