Your appliance has been fitted with a
warning system which ensures that the
temperature in the freezer cannot rise
unnoticed. An alarm will sound and the
alarm indicator light will come on if the
temperature becomes too warm.The
setting on the temperature dial
determines the range of temperatures
the appliance recognises as too warm.
The alarm always sounds and the alarm
indicator light always comes on if the
appliance is too warm because:
– the appliance has just been switched
on.
– the freezer door has been left open
for a while, e.g. in order to load,
re-arrange or take food out.
– large amounts of food are being
frozen at once.
– there has been a lengthy interruption
to the power supply.

Activating the alarm system

^ Press and release the alarm button to
activate the alarm system.
If the temperature rises too much, the
alarm will sound and the indicator light
will come on because the temperature
in the freezer is too warm.
The alarm indicator light will go out and
the alarm will stop as soon as the
temperature in the freezer has reached
the temperature range set.

Switching the alarm off early

^ Press the alarm off button in.
The alarm will stop. The alarm off
indicator light will not go out until the
set temperature range is reached.
As soon as the indicator light has
gone out, switch the alarm system
on again (see previous page) so that
you are alerted in good time if the
temperature in the appliance rises
so much that the freezer becomes
too warm.
