Using the Start-up Wizard

The very first time you turn on your phone, provided the SIM
card is installed (see "Installing the SIM Card" on page 7),
the Welcome to your Samsung R860U screen appears.
1. Touch get started.
The CHOOSE A LANGUAGE screen appears.
The language you choose determines how text appears
on your phone.
2. Touch the language you want to use and touch next.
If you choose a language other than English, the Switch
your language screen displays.
• To restart the phone and change the language, touch ok.
• To return to the CHOOSE A LANGUAGE screen, touch cancel.
The WINDOWS PHONE TERMS OF USE screen displays.
3. Read the Windows Phone Terms of Use and touch
accept.
The SET UP YOUR PHONE screen displays.

4. Touch recommended to allow the Start-up Wizard to
configure your phone to the recommended settings.

Touch custom to manually configure the phone
yourself. If you select custom, follow the on-screen
instructions.
The CHOOSE TIME ZONE screen appears.
5. Scroll through the list of time zones and touch the time
zone of your choice to highlight it and touch next.
The DATE & TIME screen appears.
Note: The DATE & TIME screen appears only when
there is no SIM card installed in your phone.
