I nstallation
Clock / Mem or y batter y back- up
For the unit has been wor ked for a ver y long per iod, wher e the backup batter y voltage m ay
dischar ge to a low level which cannot backup the clock and r adio pr eset station data. I n this
case you need to r eplace it with the fr esh one.

A backup batter y com par tm ent located at r ear of the m ain unit.

Open the batter y com par tm ent lid.
(3)
Follow the polar ity diagr am shown inside the com par tm ent and install 2 x AAA (UM- 4)
type batter ies (not included).

Close the batter y com par tm ent lid.
R em ote Contr ol
The r em ote contr ol oper ates on one CR 2025 L ithium batter y (included).
To activate the r em ote contr ol, r em ove the insulation tab attached in the batter y
com par tm ent.
War nings:
B atter ies shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fir e or the lik e.
B e sur e that the batter ies ar e installed cor r ectly. Wr ong polar ity m ay dam age the unit.
Do not m ix old and new batter ies.
Do not m ix alkaline, standar d (car bon- zinc) or r echar geable (nickel- cadm ium) batter ies.
Only batter ies of the sam e or equivalent type as r ecom m end ar e to be used.
I f the unit is not to be used for an extended per iod of tim e, r em ove the batter y.
Do not dispose of batter ies in fir e, batter y m ay explode or leak.
Danger of explosion if batter y is incor r ectly r eplaced.
AC- DC Adaptor connection
The unit is power ed by an exter nal AC- DC P ower Adaptor (included) with output DC12V /
2000m A.

I nser t the adaptor s DC output plug into the DC I N jack at the back of the unit.

P lug the adaptor into an ac m ain outlet.

Do not subject the unit to excessive for ce, shock, dust or extr em e tem per atur e.

Do not tam per the inter nal com ponents of the unit.

Clean your unit with a dam p (never wet) cloth. Solvent or deter gent should never be
used.

Avoid leaving your unit in dir ect sunlight or in hot, hum id or dusty places.

K eep your unit away fr om heating appliances and sour ces of electr ical noise such as
fluor escent lam ps or m otor s.
R esetting the Unit
I f the unit exper iences a power sur ge or electr ic shock, it is possible that the inter nal
m icr o- contr oller m ay lock up and the unit will not r espond to any com m ands fr om the
panel contr ols.
I n this event, use a str aig htened paper clip, toothpick or sim ilar objects to pr ess the R E SE T
button located at r ear of the unit (see the below figur e). The r eset oper ation clear s the
system m em or y and all of your pr evious settings will be er ased.
