To make sure that this product meets your expectations and provides long-term, reliable performance, please read and follow this instruction manual carefully. Manual Language This user manual is written in English. - Page 3 USER MANUAL - ADAGIO PASSIVE SPEAKERS Description The Adagio series is a range of lightweight, elegantly shaped passive loudspeakers for installed low-impedance and 100V line sound systems. Available in black and white and made from impact- proof ABS plastic, they integrate cosmetically well with any environment and provide years of pleasant appearance even in demanding ambient conditions.

While every room is different and may require professional advice on best loudspeaker positions, a few rules are to be obeyed: Do not let speakers point at each other.

Mounting Since the specific requirements for installed sound systems may vary from country to country, it is recommended to clarify the local requirements prior to installation. As a guide to good practice, the following applies: Speakers in commercial sound systems must be protected against displacement and hence must be fixed in a specific position.
- Page 6 USER MANUAL - ADAGIO PASSIVE SPEAKERS D. Connections The speaker has two screw terminals on its backside, which are color coded in red (+) and black (-). Most likely, the amplifier output features a similar color coding, or at least an indication of (+) and (-). Make sure the amplifier is switched off, choose an appropriate loudspeaker cable and connect the red (+) output of the amplifier with the red (+) input of the speaker, and the black (-) output of the amplifier with the black (-) input of the speaker.

Multi Speaker Configurations Connecting mutiple speakers to a single amplifier output allows to sonically cover larger areas with a minimum of extra hardware. Dpending on whether you use a low-impedance or a 100V line version (suffix T) of the Adagio range, some rules need to be obeyed when connecting mutiple speakers: For low-impedance systems, since cable impedances add into the total system impedance, attention must be paid to choose appropriate copper cross sections according to the cable length (see table).
