TROUBLESHOOTING

4-2-14. When the alarm is heard continuously (buzzer sound)

① If a 'dingdong' sound is heard
continuously or the 'Refrigerator door
is opened' message is displayed.
Freezer door detection: CN50 #9-#8
Fridge door detection: CN50 #10-#8
Cool Select Room door detection: CN50
#11-#8
- The normal voltages are as follows:
When the door is open: 5 V / When the
door is closed: 0 V
- Check i f the resi s tance of the reed swi t ch
changes to 0Ω and ∞Ω when you separate
the swi t ch and change the swi t ch status to on
and off.
※ Tips when checking the reed switch
The reed switch is turned on or off by the
magnetic force of the magnet attached to the door.
- When the reed switch is magnetised → 0Ω
(when the door is closed.)
- When the reed switch is not magnetised → ∞Ω
(when the door is open.)
If the magnetic force of the magnet on the door is
weak or the location of the reed switch is not
correct, consider replacing the part.
② If a 'beep-beep' sound is heard
continuously, perform a Forced Operation.
If a 'ddiriririring' sound is heard
continuously, perform a Forced Defrosting
operation. If the 'dding dding dding'
sound is heard continuously, the buzzer
sound is heard.

Does the voltage change when the door is
opened or closed?
No
Is the Main Connector (CN50) properly
connected?
Yes
Is the hinge connector inserted properly?
Yes
Is the location of the reed switch of the
hinge correct?
Yes
Does the hinge reed switch work properly
when you hold a magnet close to and
then move it away from the switch?
No
Is the reed switch (part) normal?
Yes
Check if the wire is open-circuited and
then replace the Main PBA if necessary.
Start
Has the Forced Operating or Forced
Defrosting mode been selected?
No
Does the buzzer continue to sound even
after the power has been turned off and
then on again?
Yes
Check i f there i s any forei g n substance on the Test Jumper on the
Mai n PCB and i f there are any short-ci r cui t ed devi c es.

Reconnect the connector.
