-Keep the appliance out of reach of the children younger 8 years
old.
-Before connecting the appliance to the mains, check that the
cable and plug are in perfect conditions. Also check that the
voltage indicated on the appliance is valid for your electrical
installation.
-If you detect that the power supply cable or the plug are dama
ged, do not use the appliance or try to replace the cable yourself.
Go directly to the authorised JOCCA technical service where
they will replace it correctly for you.
-Do not immerse the appliance or any part of it in water or any
other liquid.
-Please do not touch the connecting plug with wet hands or feet
or with bare feet.
-Never put your fingers or anything else in the protecting grid
or in the ventilation slots. Do not insert any object that might
obstruct or break the appliance.
-Please avoid touching the appliance when it is working as it
could cause burns.
-Do not pull the cable to unplug the appliance from the mains,
always pull from the plug.
-Please unroll the power supply cable completely to avoid over
heating.
-If your appliance has been dropped or fallen into water or any
other liquid do not use it or try to repair it. Take it to the JOCCA
technical service.
-For your safety and for the appliance to work correctly, always
use JOCCA spare parts and accessories.
-Please do not use the appliance in the bath or shower or in
rooms with a humid atmosphere, nor in places near to water,
such as above a bathtub, or basins full of water, a shower or a
swimming pool.
-Please do not use the appliance as a source of heating or for
drying. The appliance should not be used to dry clothes.
-Never leave the appliance cable hanging in the air nor in contact
with hot parts. Do no use the cable to carry the product.
-The appliance should be used on a horizontal flat surface that
will resist high temperatures.
WARNING: On surfaces where heat may cause problems, the
use of a heat insulation pad is recommended.
-Leave sufficient space above and around the appliance for the
air to circulate correctly.
-Check that the ventilation slots and protection grid are
not blocked. Please do not cover the appliance under any
circumstances. It might catch fire.
-Do not let the appliance come into contact with curtains,
wallpaper, dishcloths or other inflammable materials when it is
in use.
-Please unplug the appliance from the mains electricity power
supply when not in use, before cleaning and/or if it does not
operate properly.
-Never place the appliance underneath a socket.
-This appliance has an anti-overturn system, this is to say if your
appliance does fall over the appliance will automatically switch
off.
-Never connect the appliance to a timer, a programmer or
anyother device that connects the appliance automatically,
since there is a fire risk if the heating appliance is covered or
incorrectly located.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
-When using the appliance for the first time it will give off a
"new" smell, consequently the room should be aired to eliminate
this smell.
-Unfold the base of the appliance and put it in a perpendicular
position (please see illustration 1). Please ensure that the base is
properly supported on a flat and horizontal surface, since other
wise the appliance will not switch on due to its anti-overturn
system.
-Plug the appliance into the mains electricity supply.
-Turn the power selector to the required position, depending
upon the heat required. In position 1 only the upper quartz tube
will light up, and in position 2 the two quartz tubes will light up.
