    2.3. ALARM TRIGGERING There are four types of alarms: Motion detection, Video Loss Alarm, External Alarm, and Digital Input from Camera. The following are the possible actions when the alarm is triggered. Every action is configurable (Ex. the screen display pattern, the relay triggered time.etc) and will be explained in the later chapter.

    3.3. CAMERA SETUP A. Camera Setup BNC Input: Set up different BNC inputs to assign different cameras to be displayed on different channels. 960H or D1 is for analog cameras and aHD is for aHD cameras. You can either assign all channels to import the same types of signal, or have 2 channels to import signal different to the other 2.

Clicking on the IP Cam from the list will import the device information to the channel without any manual key-in step. The IP Cam has to be under the same LAN with DVR in order to be successfully connected.

    3.5. ALARM SETUP A. Alarm Trigger Setup A-1. Alarm Auto Switch Click the drop down list to operate the Alarm Auto Switch. When the alarm is triggered, the screen will be switched to Full Screen, Split Screen (4CH split screen) or Disable mode. A-2.

After it is enabled, the user has to enter the password before performing the HDD formatting. B. Anonymous User Login Tick the checkbox to enable/disable the anonymous user login which allows the user to view live image via IE browser without entering the username/ password.

    3.8. DISK MANAGEMENT Overwrite Mode Select “ON” for the oldest recording data to be overwritten by new recording data. Select “OFF” for the DVR to stop writing data into HDD when its space is full. Hard Disk Full Warning Under non-overwrite mode, click the drop down list to change value to 20%/15%/10% or 5%.
  • Page 61 E. Disk Warning Time Set up the interval for displaying a warning message regarding the health condition of the storage device to the user between 1~60 minutes. F. Storage Information The information of the storage device will be displayed on this page. Your Hard Disk Device needs to be repaired or replaced if its health condition is displayed in yellow or red.

    3.9. SYSTEM SETUP A. System Name Use the virtual keypad to enter the name of the DVR. B. System ID Use ◄ or ► to setup the DVR ID. The adjustment value is between 0~32. C. Language Use the drop down list to change the DVR language system. Currently, there are 18 types of different languages available.
  • Page 63 F. Version The firmware version of the DVR will be shown in this column. G. Firmware Update Click Firmware Update button to perform firmware updating. Have your firmware file ready in a USB hard drive, and insert it unto the DVR USB connector for upgrading.

Moreover, if the user clicks the enable checkbox and the SYNC button within the “NTP Setup” block, the time of the DVR will be synchronized with the NTP Server.
