SENSITIVITY QUICK START Power tower, base station and even houses will cause falsing alarm when no metal under the coil. Users can reduce the sensitivity by pressing on the downward triangle buttons directly. +/- ONE LEVEL Users can increase the sensitivity by pressing the upward triangle w h e n s e a r c h i n g o n l o w interference locations.

PROGRAM Level-up After powered on the detector, press the M button once to select different modes. • COIN MODE very stable, medium recover speed, target for ancient or morden coins. TID range 40~99 • JEWELRY MODE very sensitive, high recover speed, target at gold rings jewelry items.

PINPOINTING Level-up By pressing on the PINPOINT button(the round button with cross sign), the detector will enter a non- motion mode and alarm to target without moving the coil. Users can use this function to pinpoint target with cross action as illustrated. We strongly recommend to select the Xpointer for further assistance during digging to save the time.
GROUND BALANCING Level-up The Q40 come with ground balancing(G.B.) function. We recommend G.B. every time you change the detecting area. Please press and hold the square button and pump the coil from 6”/15cm height to 1” from the ground. When you do not hear the sound is not been pulled from the ground or pushed to the ground, the G.B.

DISCRIMINATION Level-up Metal detectors calculate the metal I.D. through the conductivity of metal. Higher conductivity ones shows higher digit on the screen such as silver. Lower digit such as iron is listed under 25. Users can select or de- select some metal I.D. to discriminate undesired metal objects.

OTHERS Level-up In trashy area some good signal may be muted together by iron signal. Users can FESEN turn FESEN function on to have more chance to hear the good signal. It may cause more noise when FESEN been activated. Ground Canceling Level.
