Front axle model designation 739.578
The front axle corresponds to the non-driven steel-
sprung front axle with disk brakes and is available
with 2 drops (130/5 and 70/10).
The steering knuckle and the wheel head have been
redeveloped in order to integrate the wheel hub
motors and the feed line for the hydraulic fluid.
The wheel hub motors are supplied with hydraulic
fluid directly via the axle journals and spindles.
This means that the hose lines only need to
compensate for the motion of the springs (flexing)
and not for steering movements (torsion), which
increases the service life and reliability of the
system.
