I just purchased a 2008 Chevrolet Corvette. The universal remote will not communicate with the garage door. No problem syncing the hand held. All red LED lights on universal remote are functional. Garage doors & motors are only 1 year old. The owner of the garage door selling/installing company spent a half hour trying to program and I have spend over an hour trying to sync with no success. Thoughts?

The provided context does not include specific troubleshooting steps for syncing a Lear Car2U universal remote with a 2008 Chevrolet Corvette garage door opener. However, general guidance for programming the Lear Car2U system includes:
1. Identify Opener Type: Determine if the garage door opener is a rolling code (post-1996) or fixed code (pre-1996) model. 2. Ensure Compatibility: The opener must have a "stop and reverse" feature if manufactured after April 1, 1982. 3. Prepare for Programming: Park outside the garage and ensure people and objects are clear. 4. Program the Remote: Follow the programming steps in the Lear Car2U manual. 5. Verify Operation: Press the programmed button and check if the garage door responds. 6. Repeat Steps if Necessary: If programming fails, repeat the steps carefully. 7. Erase and Reset if Needed: If issues persist, erase the Car2U settings and reprogram all devices.
For further assistance, refer to the Lear Car2U manual or contact Car2U support.

@Greg Piper The remote referenced is a Lear Car2U installed in the visor of the 2008 Corvette, and I have a 2009 Corvette with the same Car2u remote in the visor. Mine does not sync with my Craftsman rolling code opener either. I've tried numerous times to sync the Visor remote to the opener to no avail. All three lights light but it will not program! What's wrong with these remotes in the visor?
