[Operation by Key Input]
[CHANNEL] key
• Radio channel is incremented by one.
• TX ON/OFF and RX ON/OFF are same as the condition before
the channel was incremented by one.
[TALK] key
• Transmit mode is turned on.
• Even in the condition other than transmit mode, key input be-
comes active to turn on the transmit mode.
[1] key
• Receive mode is turned on.
• Even in the condition other than receiver mode, key input
becomes active to turn on the receive mode.
[2] key
• Transmit & receive mode is turned off.
• Even in the condition other than transmit & receive mode, key
input becomes active to turn off the transmit & receive mode.
[3] key
• EEPROM read and write test.
• Data write EEPROM and data read EEPROM then succeed to
display bellow. If not succeed to display "EEPROM NG".

• Key input test
• The key input sequence is as follows:
[ENTER] → 4 → $ → [TALK] → [OFF] → [FLASH] →
[CHANNEL] → [PGM] → [REDIAL] → [1] → [2] → [3] →
[4] → [5] → [6] → [7] → [8] → [9] → [*] → [0] → [#]
If the keys are pressed in the above sequence, the handset gener-
ates a key touch tone, and when the input of all keys completed
successfully, it generates a completion tone and returns to the Test
Mode Idle status. In case of wrong key input sequence, it gener-
ates an error tone, and returns to the Test Mode Idle status.
[5] key
• RSSI gain is set to "Low".
(Once the gain is set to "Low", low gain is kept during the Test
mode.)
[6] key
• Message transmission test
• ID=AAAH and DATA=AAAH in length of frame sync + normal
message frame length are transmitted continuously until [6] key
is pressed again. When [6] key is pressed, a message transmis-
sion is stopped, and TX ON/OFF and RX ON/OFF are returned
to the condition before the message transmission.
[0] key
• Hold mode
• The Hold mode is activated, and the Test Mode Idle status is
resumed depending on the CR time constant. When the Test Mode
Idle status is resumed, the TX ON/OFF and RX ON/OFF are
returned to the condition before Hold mode was activated.
[OFF] key
• Test mode end
• The Test mode quits, and the handset goes in idle status.
