ASSEMBLY - LEVELLING THE TABLE (Fig4.): FIG.4 The saw table can be tilted up to 45º. To tilt, loosen the knob on the cradle. A stop on the underside of the table rests on the lower wheel housing when the table is at 90º with the blade. Loosen the lock nut and turn the bolt in or out, as required, to change angle against the sawband.

OPERATION AND USE - TENSIONING THE BLADE (Fig.18.): FIG.18 Turn the blade tensioning knob clockwise until the blade is tensioned. The blade tension can be checked by pushing down on the blade midway between the two wheels. When the tension is correct the blade should move slightly with firm finger pressure.

OPERATION AND USE - TRACKING THE BLADE: (Fig.21-22.) FIG.21 NOTE: The blade tension must be correctly adjusted before tracking the blade. Slowly turn the upper wheel clockwise by hand and watch the blade on the tyre. If the blade does not stay central on the tyre the tracking will have to be adjusted.

OPERATION AND USE - MITRE GUIDE (Fig.26.): FIG.26 Most cross cut work, especially with small pieces is more easily controlled with the use of the mitre guide The guide is graduated to 45˚ for both left and right hand angles. Simply slide the guide into one of the two channels provided in the work table.
TIPS ON USING YOUR BANDSAW For all cutting operations the upper blade guard should be adjusted to just clear the work being cut (3mm). Not only does this provide the best operator safety, but it also brings the blade guides closer to the work giving more accurate results and easier control. Use both hands to feed the workpiece to the blade.
MAINTENANCE WARNING For your own safety turn switch off and remove plug from power supply before attempting any adjustment or repairs. CHANGING TYRES Eventually the rubber tyres on the bandsaw wheels will wear due to the constant contact of the sharp teeth of the blade.
