I cannot get the charger to attach to the crew cut clipper it seems do be on an angle

In order to change the grade setting, release the comb guide locking mechanism located on the side of the clipper (fig.5) & rotate the comb guide either clockwise or anti-clockwise as appropriate (fig.6).
