6 Installation Installing the Exhaust Duct Extension on the Bottom Unit Checking the exhaust duct’s projecting height Use the caliper or a measuring tape to measure the projecting height at the lowest point of the exhaust duct found at the rear right at the top of the unit (one exhaust duct in 6.10/10.10 units;...
Page 32
6 Installation Installing the exhaust duct extension Clean the inside of the exhaust duct all the way to the end of the area that the exhaust duct extension will be in contact with. Clean the outside of the exhaust duct extension. Apply a bead of high-temperature silicone sealant all around the surface at the bottom of the exhaust duct extension as shown in the picture to the left.
Page 33
6 Installation Slide the exhaust duct extension into the exhaust duct as far as it will go. Wipe off any excess silicone. Check to make sure that the gap between the exhaust duct extension and the exhaust duct is completely filled with silicone all around.
6 Installation The bottom combi oven is mounted on the base The figures below show an electrical stacking kit for stacking a size 6.10 unit on a size 6.10 unit. They are used as an example representing all unit sizes and unit models: Preparing the bottom unit Use a spirit level to level the stacking kit’s base frame.
Page 35
6 Installation With several people, carefully place the bottom unit on its back side on the transport pallet. Make sure to use appropriate padding in order to protect the unit (cardboard and styrofoam from the packaging, for exam- ple). Do not lift or carry too much weight during the process! Caution! Risk of injury due to excessive exertion! In the case of units with a disappearing door, make sure not to damage the block on the side.
Page 36
6 Installation Fastening the base frame Stacking kit with 6" and 12" foot height Use an open-end wrench with a width across flats of 13 mm together with the four enclosed hex screws, the Schnorr locking washers, and the flat washers to attach the base frame. In addition, fasten the two long hex screws on the left side of the base frame.
Page 37
6 Installation Use a socket wrench with a width across flats of 8 mm to lock the brakes. Notice: Release the brakes before moving the unit or the stacking kit. Trap elbow Mount the trap elbow. Slip the trap elbow onto the drain box’s drain pipe. Use a hose clamp to secure the trap elbow.
6 Installation Installing the center adapter The figures below show an electrical stacking kit for stacking a size 6.10 unit on a size 6.10 unit. They are used as an example representing all unit sizes and unit models: Preparation steps Remove the two long screws on the left side of the base.
Page 39
6 Installation All unit models: Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the five screws at the top of the unit. You will not be using these screws anymore. Slightly lift the unit’s top panel in the dry air intake’s area. Pull the dry air intake pipe as far up as possible (1).
Page 40
6 Installation Place the center adapter on top of the bottom unit. Position the center adapter: Make sure to carefully place the center adapter so that the air vent goes into it smoothly. Make sure that the vent has no leaks. Operating and Installation Instructions UL...

6 Installation Removing the covers Front cover: Grab the left side of the cover and lightly pull it towards you and away from the magnet (1). On the right side, disengage the cover from the tab (2). Then remove the cover completely. Side covers: Disengage the left and right side covers from the corresponding front and rear tabs.
Page 42
6 Installation Fastening the center adapter Use the five enclosed countersunk fasteners to screw the cen- ter adapter in place. The specific fasteners that are included will depend on the specific stacking kit model being used. Use self-tapping screws or metric bolts as appropriate for the model you are using. Use silicone sealant to seal all five countersunk fasteners in a watertight manner in order to prevent water ingress into the bottom unit.
Page 43
6 Installation Installing the moisture removal box Carefully insert the moisture removal box. Make sure that the gasket is in its correct position and has a proper fit. 6.10/6.20: Insert the lower pipe end of the moisture removal box into the dehumidifier valve’s gasket.
Page 44
6 Installation Gas units only: Installing the flue parts Attach the two flue extensions to the two exhaust outlets. Place the lower exhaust gas flue box (1) on the studs intended for this purpose. Place the insulation layers (2a/2b) on top of the lower exhaust gas flue box, with the layers on top of each other.
6 Installation Installing the Top Unit The figures below show an electrical stacking kit for stacking a size 6.10 unit on a size 6.10 unit. They are used as an example representing all unit sizes and unit models: Preparing the top unit Make sure that the top unit’s oven cavity is empty (rack, suction panel, sheet pans, etc.).
Page 46
6 Installation Mount the trap elbow. Slip the trap elbow onto the drain box’s drain pipe. Use a hose clamp to secure the trap elbow. Bend the part of the door contact switch holding plate that is in front of the perforation 90° downwards. Put the unit back upright and place lumber or other suitable materials with a height of at least 60 mm underneath it.
Page 47
6 Installation Assembly recommendation Placing the top unit on top: Place the four styrofoam blocks (enclosed with the packaging) on the center adapter. Move the two units so that they are in position relative to each other. Make sure that their doors are closed. Use four (6.10/10.10) or eight (6.20/10.20) people or suitable equipment to place the top unit on top of the styrofoam blocks.
Page 48
6 Installation Carefully tilt the unit on one side. Warning: Risk of unit falling down! Make sure that the two pins on the center adapter correctly engage the corresponding holes at the bottom of the unit. Remove the two styrofoam blocks on this side. Use the enclosed hex screws to attach the top unit to the center adapter at the place where the front foot and rear foot (on the side that is not up in the air) would normally be.
Page 49
6 Installation Connect the top unit’s drain pipe to the trap elbow fitting. Establishing an electrical connection: Remove the top unit’s left side panel. Pull the cooling fan’s connection cable (12V) through the grommet. Make sure not to damage the connection cable. The top unit’s wiring compartment features a perforated opening at the bottom, on the left side.
Page 50
6 Installation Insert the rear cover and attach it using the seven pan head screws. Make sure that the drain connection is installed correctly. The wastewater pipe needs to go out towards the back through the intended opening on the rear cover. Connect the stacking kit’s fan cable to the supply module’s 12 V terminals (+ and -).
Page 51
6 Installation Installing the air vent: Use a Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the screws on the cover plate. Press the gland grommet into the mounting bracket’s ring. Install the long air vent. Fasten the mounting bracket with the two screws you just re- moved.

6 Installation Gas units only: The flue is installed Place the exhaust duct on the studs intended for this purpose and use the four enclosed serrated face nuts to secure it. Use the three enclosed serrated flange nuts to fasten the heat shield onto the exhaust duct cover.
Page 53
6 Installation Installing the connections Route the water and cleaning system connections, all cables, and the gas connection (in the case of gas units) through the opening on the rear panel. Make sure to install them correctly as specified in the installa- tion manual for your combi oven.
Page 54
6 Installation Installing the covers Use the long screws to install the left side panel on both units. Install the left cover for the center adapter: Use the two serrated hex flange bolts and a socket wrench with a width across flats of 8 mm to fasten the center adapter’s baffle plate onto the left side cover.
6 Installation Wall Anchoring Kit (Optional) / Marine Model / Retaining Element Wall anchoring kit In order to minimize the risk of the stacking kit toppling over, the stacking kit can be secured to the wall using the enclosed wall anchoring kit for stacking kits (optional). Install the wall anchor.
