9.6.4. Attaching the optical pick-up unit
The optical pick-up unit comes completely adjusted. Do not
under any circumstances touch the adjustment screw.
1. To reassemble, carefully repeat the steps for disassembly
in reverse order.
2. When attaching the traverse unit to the main unit after
attaching the optical pick-up unit, be sure to remove the
solder from the flexible cable.
Note:
• • • • Incomplete removal of the solder will prevent the
laser diode from emitting light properly.
• • • • After replacing the optical pick-up unit, confirm the
quality of the playback image and adjust the optics.
