Adding an Incidental Image to
Moving Pictures (COMET)
You can enjoy the picture which leaves an incidental
image, such as a trail of comet. The COMET function
gives an atmosphere to the picture.
COMET
Press ACTIVE/COMET on the player repeatedly until
"COMET" appears in the front panel display or press
COMET on the remote.
To cancel the COMET function
Press ACTIVE/COMET on the player repeatedly until
"COMET" disappears from the front panel display or press
COMET on the remote again.
Notes
• The COMET and ACTIVE PICTURE functions do not work
simultaneously.
• The COMET function is not available while playing an
audio CD.
Enjoying Sound Effects
(Surround Sound)
You can play a disc with one of three acoustic
atmospheres: KARAOKE, MUSIC or THEATER.
ACTIVE/COMET
While playing a disc, press SURROUND repeatedly
until the desired effect appears in the front panel
display.
Effect mode
KARAOKE
MUSIC
THEATER
To cancel the sound effect
Press SURROUND repeatedly until "KARAOKE", "MUSIC"
and "THEATER" disappear from the front panel display.
Note
If you press MPX (see page 25) when you connect the AC
power cord of the player to a wall outlet, the surround sound
mode is automatically set to KARAOKE.
