These tests must be performed only by qualified personnel certified by the responsible organization. Qualifications required are: training on the subject, knowledge, experience and acquaintance with the relevant technologies, standards and local regulations.

This measures the impedance of the Protective Earth (PE) terminal to all exposed metal parts of the Instrument under Test (IUT), which are for safety reasons connected to the Protective Earth (PE).
