. Rechargeable battery
.1 Replacing the battery
The battery must be replaced if the battery display flashes . How-
ever, the current treatment can be completed .
The device must be switched off when replacing the battery!
Remove the cover of the battery compartment to replace the batte-
ry . Then remove and recharge the used battery . Insert the charged
battery into the battery compartment with the metal contacts
facing the device and the guide grooves facing upwards . Then put
the cover back onto the battery compartment .
. Charging the batteries
To charge the battery, the P60-8 plug-in battery charger supplied
with the EMP 4 Expert must be connected to the power supply
system and the charging station . The battery is inserted into the
charging station with the metal contacts facing downwards and the
guide grooves upwards .
A yellow lamp in the plug-in battery charger indicates the charging
process .
When charging has been completed, the plug-in battery charger
switches to maintenance charging . The lamp on the plug-in battery
charger then starts to flash . The battery may be left in the charging
station until its next use .

Input: 230 V ~ /50 Hz/35 mA/5 W
Output: 12 .6 V/140 mA/1 .76 VA
Temperature range: 0 °C to 40 °C
Caution: The P60- plug-in battery charger may only be used
indoors and must be kept away from moisture . It may only be used
to charge the WA 60- batteries supplied with the device using the
AL 1 A charging station . The plug-in battery charger and the
batteries must not be short-circuited .
