INTRODUCTION The Active SmartHome Smart Radiator module by Danfoss is a modern alternative to usual thermostatic radiator valves and allows you to control the temperature of your entire house or individual radiators using a PC, a smartphone or a tablet connected to the Internet.

    Please note that when the head is dismounted, your radiator will continue to operate. It is also recommended to first connect the Smart Radiator to the Active SmartHome platform before mounting it. That way it will be easier to test the signal strength and distance of connexion to install signal repeaters if needed without dismounting your Smart Radiator several times.

    3. OPERATION & SUPPORT 3.1. Operation The first week after the installation, the Smart Radiator module is in a learning period where it will optimize its way of operating. Once mounted, you can change the temperature at any time either directly through the up/down buttons and/or remotely via the Home Control service of the Active SmartHome platform.

    After approximately two weeks, the symbol will flash 14 times from 19:00 to 21:00 hrs. Before the batteries run out, the Smart Radiator will leave the valve in a slightly open position to protect it from damage.

    In stall ati o n an d O per ati o n Gu i de 3.4. Compatibility table There are 6 types of adapters to connect the Smart Radiator properly to your heating system. You will need to use the adapter corresponding to the manufacturer and current model of your installed thermostatic heads.

    Use these buttons to navigate within the menu and to adjust the temperature. Use this button to select the menu and confirm choices. The Smart Radiator is displaying the set temperature, not the measured room temperature. 3.6. Testing the connection It can take some time until the connection is established.
