Without letting it retract, pull rope with a rapid full arm stroke. Let it return to its original position very slowly. Repeat this step each time the starter rope is pulled.

    BATTERY (ELECTRIC MODELS ONLY) Viper engines use a 12 V 7.0 AH/20HR battery. Never connect the bat- tery in reverse polarity avoiding a short circuit to the battery charging system. Always connect the positive (+) battery cable to the battery terminal before hooking up the negative (-) battery cable.
