BEEF STEW

Serves 4
750g
beef goulash
30ml
oil

stalks celery, sliced

Worcestershire sauce

mushrooms, sliced

carrots, peeled and sliced

potatoes, peeled and cubed

corn flour, slaked in 40 ml water
1 Select Sauté and heat the oil. Brown the
beef goulash in the oil in batches. Set
aside.
2 Sauté the onion until light golden, add
the garlic and celery and stir for 1 minute.
3 Add the browned beef goulash, the
Worcestershire sauce, paprika, tomato
paste, beef stock and the bay leaf. Select
High Pressure and set the timer for 15
minutes. When audible beep sounds, use
Quick Pressure Release to release
pressure. When the float valve drops,
turn the pressure cooker off. Remove the
lid carefully, tilting away from you to allow
steam to disperse.
4 Add the mushrooms, carrots and
potatoes. Select High Pressure and set
the timer for 15 minutes. When audible
beep sounds, use Quick Pressure
Release to release pressure. When the
float valve drops, turn the pressure cooker
off. Remove the lid carefully, tilting away
from you to allow steam to disperse.
5 Add the slaked corn flour. Select Sauté
and bring to a simmer. Simmer for 2-3
minutes until the sauce has thickened.
6 Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
Serve over rice. (See page 5)

SAVORY POT ROAST

Serves 6

medium potatoes, peeled and
cut in half lengthwise
1 cup
baby carrots, peeled
1 Season roast with salt and pepper,
2 Select Sauté. Heat the oil and brown the
roast. Set aside
3 Sauté onions and celery for 3-4 minutes.
4 Add the roast, stock, bay leaves and
Worcestershire sauce. Select Low
Pressure and set the timer for 30 minutes.
When audible beep sounds, use Natural
Pressure Release to release pressure.
When the float valve drops, turn the
pressure cooker off. Remove the lid
carefully, tilting away from you to allow
steam to disperse.
5 Add the potatoes and carrots. Select Low
Pressure and set the timer for 20 minutes.
