First Time Install
This setting allows you to set up and configure
the set top box for use with future internet
services. Before adjusting the network settings,
you should connect the set top box to a suitable
broadband router.
Use the [ ] and [ ] buttons to select
'Network Settings'. Press the [ ] button then
the [OK] button to adjust the network settings.
The network settings menu will be displayed.

Network Speed - This setting allows you to
choose a network speed which best matches
your internet connection speed. You can choose
between 10 mbps, 100 mbps or Auto. If you
are unsure of your internet connection speed,
choose the Auto setting.

DHCP - The set top box is designed to
communicate with your home router using
Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP).
If your home router supports dynamic Internet
Protocol (IP) addresses, choose the Auto
setting. Alternatively, you can manually set the
IP address and subnet mask using the Manual
setting.
To manually set the DHCP settings, use the [ ]
and [ ] buttons to select 'DHCP'. Press the
[ ] button then the [OK] button to adjust the
DHCP settings.
Use the [ ] and [ ] buttons to select
'Manual'. Press the [OK] button to confirm the
setting.
Use the [ ] and [ ] buttons to select 'IP
address'. Press the [ ] button to adjust the IP
address.
Use the [ ] and [ ] buttons to adjust the first
IP address block and then press the [ ] button.
Repeat the process until all the IP address
blocks have been adjusted.
Use the [ ] and [ ] buttons to select 'subnet
mask'. Press the [ ] button to adjust the
subnet mask.
Use the [ ] and [ ] buttons to adjust the
first subnet mask block and then press the [ ]
button. Repeat the process until all the subnet
mask blocks have been adjusted.
DON'T FORGET! You should refer to the
documentation supplied with your router
for guidance on manually adjusting the
DHCP settings.
