If you receive spam . . .
You can set up mail filters to block specific mail or spoof E-mail.
Your cellphone mainly has the following functions to block spam.

If you receive a call from an unknown number . . .
A "one-ring call" (wan-giri in Japanese) rings your phone only once, in an
attempt to make you call back to a service that automatically bills you very
high charges. Beware of one-ring calls.
