Allow 3” of extra headspace at the top of the pouch to ensure a quality seal. The BS116 accepts pouches up to 16”W. Fill the pouch and place between the seal bar and seal pad Fill the pouch with the product to be sealed, and lay the opening of the pouch between the seal bar and the seal pad. -

The seal bar should rest securely on top of the contact posts. Plug the machine in and without inserting a pouch, press the SEAL button to ensure correct installation of the new seal bar. If the BS116 is functioning properly, it is now ready for use. -

My BS116 impulse sealer (no vacuum model) is burning the bags , not releasing quickly as it used to.
The Vacmaster BS116 impulse sealer may be burning bags and not releasing quickly due to incorrect time settings. If the sealing time (T1), heat time (T2), or cooling time (T3) are set too high, it can cause overheating and sticking. For initial testing, the recommended settings are:
- Sealing Time (T1): 0.5 seconds
- Heat Time (T2): 1.6 seconds
