9. Band saw blade selection
CAUTION
● Use a band saw blade appropriate to the
workpiece.
Using a band saw blade unsuited to cut a
workpiece will not only negatively aff ect cutting
precision, but can also cause damage to the
band saw blade.
● When selecting the number of teeth for a
band saw blade, your standard choice should
be a blade that exceeds the thickness of the
workpiece by two or more teeth.
Select a band saw blade based on the thickness of the
workpiece being cut, using Table 7 as a guideline.
