Installation & Operation
The Wireless IR Extender can be installed either just using the Transmitter and Receiver units, or in
conjunction with the supplied IR Receiver and Emitter cables as described below. To power the Wireless
IR Extender simply connect the supplied USB DC cables to the Transmitter and Receiver units and to an
available USB port on your TV, AV Receiver, DVD Player etc or to a USB power supply (not included).
When power is connected the IR CON light will flash once.
Operation without the supplied IR extension cables requires the IR Eye on the Transmitter and Receiver
units to have line of sight (within ~7m) of the IR Port on your AV equipment/Remote control. Once the all
equipment is installed you can begin to use the Extender, the IR CON LED will illuminate on the
Transmitter and Receiver each time an IR signal is sent.
Operation using the supplied IR extension cables allows the Transmitter and Receiver units to be hidden
from sight with the extension cables used to Receive/Transmit the IR signal. Connect the IR Receiver
cable to the Wireless IR Transmitter and locate the IR Eye in position where it can receive the IR signal
from your IR Remote control. Now connect the IR Emitter cable to the Wireless IR Receiver and locate
the IR Eye in a position where it can communicate with the IR port of your AV equipment. Once the all
equipment is installed you can begin to use the Extender, the IR CON LED will illuminate on the
Transmitter and Receiver each time an IR signal is sent.
