Checking all ROM, RAM, Backup ROM, Wave ROM and Effect RAM. (Simplifi ed check)
Check that "Memory Check1 All OK" is displayed on the LCD.
When the result is OK, tests No. 3 to 7 can be skipped.
It will take about 16 seconds for the check.
When the result is NG: The same message will be displayed as tests No. 3 to 7.
Checking the ROM connected to the CPU bus. (Simplifi ed check)
Check that "ROM Check1 OK" is displayed on the LCD.
When the result is NG:
MAIN PROG ROM (IC22)
Checking the RAM connected to the CPU bus. (Simplifi ed check)
Check that "RAM Check1 OK" is displayed on the LCD.
When the result is NG:
MAIN SDRAM (IC11, 12)
Checking the BACKUP ROM connected to the CPU bus. (Simplifi ed check)
Check that "Backup ROM Check1 OK" is displayed on the LCD.
It will take about 8 seconds for the check.
When the result is NG:
BACKUP (IC21)
Checking the WAVE ROM connected to the TG bus. (Simplifi ed check)
Check that "Wave ROM Check1 OK" is displayed on the LCD.
It will take about 9 seconds for the check.
When the result is NG:
Wave1 (IC302, 308)
Checking the Effect RAM connected to the TG bus. (Simplifi ed check)
Check that "Effect RAM Check1 OK" is displayed on LCD.
When the result is NG:
Effect1 (IC301)
Checking sound pitch.
Pitch accuracy check:
Connect a frequency counter to the [PHONES] jack. (Either L or R)
When the test is executed, a sound is produced with 441 ±0.2 Hz sine wave from the L and R
channels.
Sound production stops when returning to the selection screen with the [START/STOP] button.
