Before shaving
Prior to first use, you have to connect the
shaver to an electrical outlet using the special
cord set (18) or alternatively, proceed as
follows:
Installing the Clean&Renew station
• Using the special cord set (18), connect
the station power socket (5) to an electrical
outlet.
• Press the lift button (2) to open the housing.
• Hold the cleaning cartridge (6) down on a
flat, stable surface (e.g. table).
• Carefully remove the lid from the cartridge.
• Slide the cartridge into the base of the
station as far as it will go.
• Slowly close the housing by pushing it
down until it locks.
Charging the shaver in the Clean&Renew
station
Insert the shaver head down into the cleaning
station. The contacts (12) on the back of the
shaver will align with the contacts (3) in the
cleaning station.
If required, the Clean&Renew station will start
charging the shaver now.
A full charge provides up to 45 minutes of
cordless shaving time. This may vary
according to your beard growth.
Recommended ambient temperature for
charging is 5 °C to 35 °C. The battery may
not charge properly or at all under extreme
low or high temperatures. Recommended
ambient temperature for shaving is 15 °C

to 35 °C. Do not expose the shaver to
temperatures higher than 50 °C for extended
periods of time.
Shaver display
The shaver display (14) shows the charge
status of the battery. During charging or
when using the shaver, the respective battery
segment will blink (green). When fully
charged, all segments will light up for
approximately one hour, provided the shaver
sits in the C&R station.
The red low-charge light flashes when the
battery is running low.
You should be able to finish your shave.
Shaving (B)
Press the on/off switch (13) to operate the
shaver.
Comfort setting switch «sensitive»
Setting the shaver head according to your
comfort needs.
The «sensitive» switch (11) provides three
options for comfort setting:

« + » :
The shaver head is in full swing, freely
follows the contours of your skin to
provide more comfort.

middle position:
The shaver head is semi-fixed for more
control.

« – » :
The shaver head is fixed for full control
and precise handling in hard to reach
areas.
Long hair trimmer
To trim sideburns, moustache or beard, slide
the long hair trimmer (10) upwards.
