p Note that this product does not contain
"Firmware update for iPhone 5 / iPod touch
(5th generation) AppRadio Mode compat-
ibility".
p "Firmware update for iPhone 5 / iPod touch
(5th generation) AppRadio Mode compat-
ibility" will be available in August 2013 as a
free download from the website.
To use iPhone with Lightning connector, be
sure to apply the update in addition to com-
pleting the software upgrade with this pro-
duct.

! Lightning to VGA Adapter (Apple Inc.
products) (sold separately)
! Lightning to USB cable (CD-IU52) (sold
separately) or Lightning to USB cable
(supplied with iPhone with Lightning
connector)
Notes:
! If you have already applied the update using
"Firmware update for iPhone 5 / iPod touch
(5th generation) AppRadio Mode compatibil-
ity" and then you complete the software up-
grade with this product, the AppRadio Mode
(previously known as Advanced App Mode)
and Aha Radio functions will be disabled. In
this case, go to the website and reapply the
update by downloading "Firmware update for
iPhone 5 / iPod touch (5th generation)
AppRadio Mode compatibility" dedicated to
this product.
! Be sure to complete the software upgrade
with this product, and then apply the update
by downloading "Firmware update for iPhone
5 / iPod touch (5th generation) AppRadio
Mode compatibility" dedicated to this product,
otherwise problems may occur.
! iPod source is unavailable when an iPhone
with Lightning connector is connected to this
navigation system.
! If you use only the hands-free function of
iPhone 5, there is no need to apply the update
by downloading "Firmware update for iPhone
5 / iPod touch (5th generation) AppRadio
Mode compatibility".
