JPI is the RS232 connector of the programmer and JP2 is the programming connector.
The connections of the RS232 comector JPl are :
1 = G N D
2 : T X D
3 : C T S
4 : R T S
5 : D T R
The connections of the PROG connector JP2 are :
1 : Pin MCLR Microchip PIC controller
2 : Pin RES Atmel AVR controller
3 - Data out
4 : Daïa in
5 : Clock
6 = +5V VCC Microcontroller,Eeprom power supply for programming by use of a IC socket.
7 : G N D
Place a jumper on JP3 for programming PIC controllers.
Pin 3 and Pin 4 are in this configuration connected with each other.
In this case the connections ofthe PROG connector JP2 for use with a PIC Conholler are :
1 = Pin MCLR Microchip PIC controller
3 : Data PIC
5 : Clock PIC
7 - G N D
Note :
We can not make use of in circuit programming of the PIC controller if the
Bourns encoder is connected to the Microcontroller board.
