2.20 MAGIC FOCUS INITIALIZE
2.20.1 MAGIC FOCUS INITIALIZE
Adjustment preparation
(1) Receive the PAL cross-hatch or PAL circle pattern signal and set 100i mode.
(2) Digital convergence adjustment should be completed.
Adjustment procedure
(1) Press "SERVICE ONLY" SW on DEF/CONVER P.W.B. to set DCU the adjustment mode.
(2) Press [INDEX] key on R/C. Then "ROM WRITE ?" message is displayed to confirm the ROM writing.
(3) Press [RECALL] key on R/C to cancel the ROM writing and start initialization.
It takes about 45 seconds by green dots appear after initialization is completed.
(4) Check that green dots appear.
(5) Turn the power switch off.
(6) Change the PAL 50p mode and repeat the procedure (1) ~ (5) for PAL50p mode.
(7) Change the signal to NTSC circle pattern and repeat the procedure (1)-(5) for the NTSC 60p mode.
(8) [16:9 model only] Change the signal to PAL HD circle pattern and repeat the procedure (1)-(5) for the PAL
HD mode.
NOTE:
4:3 model
The digital convergence has 3 modes NTSC 60p, PAL 100i and PAL 50p.
Therefore this adjustment needs 3 modes.
16:9 model
The digital convergence has 4 modes NTSC 60p, PAL 100i, PAL 50p and PAL HD.
Therefore this adjustment needs 4 modes.
