Overview

For the purposes of this manual, the handset which must be placed on the main unit to charge it is referred to as the
"cordless handset".
The cordless handset is returned to the main unit when it is not in use, and it can be used either as a handset or like a
portable handset.
This unit can also
be used just like a
portable handset
in places away
from the main unit.
After using the
cordless handset,
put it back on the
main unit to charge
it.
The cordless handset cannot be charged by placing it on the portable handset charger.

To prevent errors in operation, do not place the portable handset on the main unit.

 When the cordless handset is placed on the main unit
After the cordless handset has been picked up from the main unit, you can make a call using the dial buttons on the
main unit.
When you pick up the cordless handset from the main unit to answer an incoming call, a connection is made with the
other party and you can start talking.
After the conversation has ended, hang up, and return the cordless handset to the charger of the main unit.
 When using the cordless handset like a portable handset away from the main unit
You can operate the buttons on the cordless handset in the same way as with a portable handset.
However, there may be some differences in how the operations are performed and what appears on the displays
between the cordless handset and the portable handset.
Note:
All you have to do to make an outside call is simply pick up the cordless handset from the main unit. Press

you do not want to make a talk over the phone.
While you are using the cordless handset away from the main unit, the buttons on the main unit will still work. Therefore,

make sure the buttons on the main unit do not get pressed by mistake.
