Symbols on the machine

High-pressure jets can be
dangerous if improperly
used. The jet must not be di-
rected at persons, animals,
live electrical equipment or
at the appliance itself.

Proper use

Cleaning of: Machines, Vehicles, Struc-
tures, Tools, Facades, Terraces, Garden-
ing tools, etc.
Danger
Risk of injury! Follow the respective safety
regulations when operating at gas stations
or other dangerous areas.
Please do not let mineral oil contaminat-
ed waste water reach soil, water or the
sewage system. Perform engine cleaning
and bottom cleaning therefore only on
specified places with an oil trap.

Safety Devices

Pressure switch
The pressure switch turns the device off
when the handgun is closed and switch on
when the handgun is opened.
The pressure switch is set by the manufac-
turer and sealed. Setting only by customer
service.
Safety valve
The safety valve opens when the pressure
switch is defective.
The safety valve is set by the manufacturer
and sealed. Setting only by customer serv-
ice.
Temperature controller
The temperature limiter switches off the
machine if the temperature regulator is de-
fective.

Start up

Attaching the Accessories
Lock parking brake.
Insert the handle into the machine
frame.
Assemble the handle using the en-
closed screws, nuts and wahers and in-
stall it at the machine frame.
Connect ray tube with hand spray gun
Insert high pressure nozzle into cover-
ing nut
Install covering nut and tighten firmly

Check oil level

Open the device hood.
Cut off tip of oil filling nozzle.
Warning
In case of lacteous oil inform Kärcher cus-
tomer service immediately
If oil level approaches the MIN marking,
fill oil until MAX marking
Oil grade: see Technical Data
Do not operate the appliance if the oil
level has fallen below "MIN".
Close oil refill nozzle

Water connection

For connection values refer to technical
specifications
Connect the supply hose to the water
connection point of the machine and at
the water supply point (for e.g. a tap).
Minimum diameter, 3/4 inch.
Note
The supply hose is not included.
Impurities in the inlet water can damage the
appliance. Kärcher recommends the use of
a water filter (Order no. 2.638-270.0).
