Dealing with slopes above 6° always with an assistant. This limit is only indicative and depends on the configuration and
in particular the balance of the wheelchair and of the user. The configuration also allows balancing extremes and thus a
proportional risk of rolling over (the greater the distance between the wheel hub and the axis of the back, the better
the handling of the medium but the greater the risk of tipping). The anti-tip wheel can be mounted on request (see chap. 7,
8 and 9).
The wheelchair should be only used for the transport of a person and not of objects in general
Avoid wheeling the wheelchair without the supervision of an assistant.
Avoid prolonged contact between the wheelchair and water. I can cause unwanted oxidation of some metal parts and
decay of the security features of the materials involved.
Avoid contact with sea water and sand, and in these cases proceed to an immediate and accurate cleaning.
Perform a general check of the wheelchair at least every three months, in particular by checking tire inflations (see par.
2.4), the working of the axes' rapid extraction (see par. 2.3), the efficiency of the brakes (see section 2.6), the ease of
operation in the movements of the frame (see par. 2.1, 2.2, and chap. 7,8 and 9) and possibly put a little lubricant if
necessary. Verify the working of removable parts (see par. 2.5 and chap.6).
Clean periodically the wheelchair using a damp cloth and avoid even partial immersion. Keeping the wheelchair clean its
efficiency, as well as helping to enhance one's image.
The wheelchair in specific setups can include among its parts some chromed metal components. If you are allergic to
chromium do not use the device and inform the producer for the required substitutions, if not already specified in the order.
Please notify the company if allergies or other similar problems due to contact with materials making up the wheelchair
are developed
The fabric used for the upholstery of the wheelchair is not waterproof. In case of necessity it can be washed with water at
low temperature. In any case, avoid to wetting or submerging other parts of the wheelchair.
There isn't proved danger of causing injury to people during the opening and closing operations, if these operations follow
the instructions in paragraphs 2.1 and 2.2 of this manual, because the wheelchair is designed to reduce accidental risks
during the use or the preparation for use.
The pressure of the Schwalbe Marathon Plus tires should always be kept to a minimum of 7 bars to a maximum
of 9 bars to prevent damage to the covers themselves.
Keep the wheelchair away from heat sources, as not all coatings in the order form are fireproof.
