    Tightrope will make every effort to accommodate older hardware, but often this will result in a limitation in the software’s capability. For example, Carousel received a new display engine in release 5 that was not compatible with older hardware. A special mode was added to the new display engine that accommodated older hardware, but it limited the types of transitions that could be used.

    The toaster oven plug-in may be purchased for that Carousel Solo, but it would not be considered part of the free upgrades that the contract holder would receive if the Carousel Solo software underwent a new revision.

    7.2.4. 7.2.2 Extended Hardware Warranty Gold Assurance extends the hardware warranty under the standard terms Tightrope Media Systems Hardware Warranty, covered in section page 37. In addition to the extension of coverage, priority will be given to the servicing of equipment under the Gold Assurance contract.

    When a system is purchased, the end user may purchase up to three (3) years of System Assurance. The start of the contract begins the day of shipment from Tightrope Media Systems. Furthermore, when purchased with a new system, ninety (90) additional days are added to the end of the System Assurance contract.
