    The module will obtain an IP address from your router. It is important that your PC is NOT set with a manual IP address to work with the 5400.   • Page 9 SAT>IP (REF. 5400)  Right-click on the Local Area Connections and choose Properties.  Double click on Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) to enter the IP settings of your adaptor  Make sure the ‘Obtain an IP address automatically’ checkbox is selected.

     The installation is very simple. Nearly no configuration is needed, except the IP address (if needed)  When using the 5400 as an IP Multiswitch, all satellite channels from the LNB are available at the customer TV client device.

    When configured as Headend, the 5400 sends out the streams in multicast mode. However WiFi does not support multicast addresses. Therefor a special configuration is needed when wireless devices want to connect the 5400 in the Headend mode, to watch TV or listen to radio.
