    For detailed operating and safety information, please refer to your Owner’s Manual. BASIC OPERATION Lock/Unlock doors Remote keyless entry system All doors and the rear gate will be locked. The driver’s door will be unlocked. (To unlock all doors and the rear gate, briefly press the button a second time within 5 seconds.) The rear gate will be unlocked.

    Adjust each component Front seat Forward and backward adjustment Seat height adjustment (Driver’s seat only) Seatback reclining adjustment Tilt/telescopic steering wheel Adjust the seat position and pull the tilt/ telescopic lock lever down. Move the steering wheel to the desired level. Pull the lever up to lock the steering wheel in place.

    Start/Stop engine Push-button ignition switch (if equipped) To start engine: STEP1: Carry the access key, and sit in the driver’s seat. Operation STEP2: Apply the parking brake. indicator STEP3: Shift the select lever into the P position. STEP4: Depress the brake pedal until the indicator on the push-button ignition switch turns green.

    Defroster button/Rear window defogger button Defroster button: Turn the airflow mode selection dial. Rear window defogger button: Press the button to turn on rear window defogger, outside mirror defogger and windshield wiper deicer (if equipped). The function will automatically shut off after approximately 15 minutes.

    Fuel filler lid release lever Right side This indicates that the fuel filler door (lid) is located on the right side of the vehicle. Child safety locks Located on the edge of each rear door. When the lever is in the LOCK position, the rear door cannot be opened from the inside.

    FUNCTION FOR MORE COMFORTABLE DRIVE Audio control buttons These buttons allow the driver to control audio functions without taking his/her hands off the steering wheel. Cruise control buttons (if equipped) Models without EyeSight system Cruise control enables you to maintain a constant vehicle speed without holding your foot on the accelerator pedal and it is operative when the vehicle speed is 40 km/h (25 mph) or more.

  • Page 13 Steering responsive fog lights OFF switch (Models with EyeSight system) If the steering responsive fog lights OFF switch is pressed, the steering responsive fog lights OFF indicator is displayed on the Multi information display of the combination meter, and the steering responsive fog lights system is deactivated.

    Moonroof switches (if equipped) Tilting Sliding Raise Open Lower Close Lane Departure Warning OFF switch (Models with EyeSight system) Press and hold this switch for approximately 2 seconds or longer to turn off the Lane Departure Warning and Lane Sway Warning functions. Lane Departure Warning When vehicle speed is approximately 50 km/h (30 MPH) or more, this function warns the driver if the system detects that the vehicle is likely to depart the traffic lane.

    Some warning/indicator lights illuminate for a few seconds in order to check themselves when the ignition switch is turned ON. Warning lights Refer to your Owner’s Manual for countermeasures when each warning light comes on. If necessary, consult your authorized SUBARU dealer. For other situations, refer to your Owner’s Manual. Automatic headlight beam leveler warning Automatic headlight beam leveler malfunction. ABS warning Anti-lock Brake System malfunction/EBD System malfunction (Brake System warning light illuminates simultaneously).
