Veg - Fresh
The SMART COOK – FRESH VEG setting
is suitable for all types of vegetables such as
carrots, beans, broccoli and cauliflower.
Cook times are based on vegetables directly
from the refrigerator (approx. 40°F/5°C).
Cut vegetables into even sized pieces
and place in a microwave safe bowl.
Add 1–2 tablespoons of water.
Cover bowl with a vented microwave safe lid
or vented microwave safe plastic wrap but do
not seal.
Halfway through the cook program, the oven
will beep and flash 'Stir/Turn food'.
Pause and stir vegetables, recover and press
START to continue.
At the end of the cooking cycle,
allow vegetables to stand for 5 minutes
before serving.
Veg - Frozen
The SMART COOK – FROZEN VEG setting
is suitable for all types of frozen vegetables,
including packaged vegetable medleys.
Cook times are based on vegetables directly
from the freezer (approx. 0°F/-18°C).
Place vegetables in a microwave safe bowl.
Cover bowl with a vented microwave safe lid or
vented microwave safe plastic wrap but
do not seal.
Halfway through the cook program, the oven
will beep and flash 'Stir/Turn food'. Pause
and stir vegetables, recover and press START
to continue.
At the end of the cooking cycle, allow
vegetables to stand for 5 minutes
before serving.
Bacon
The SMART COOK – BACON setting is
designed to cook bacon slices until crisp.
Line the crisper pan or other microwave safe
plate with 2 layers of paper towels.
Arrange bacon slices in a single layer on the
paper towels. Cover with 2 more layers of
paper towels.
Cook up to 8 slices of bacon in two layers.
Halfway through the cook program, the oven
will beep and flash 'Stir/turn food'. Turn bacon
over, recover with paper towels and press
START to continue.
At the end of the cooking cycle, allow bacon
slices to stand for 5 minutes before removing
and serving.
