the ambient temperature is between +10 °C and +40 °C. Wait about 15 minutes until
the device has adjusted to the ambient temperature and weigh again.

– Use the Start button to switch off the device and start again. After this the device will
function normally.
– If this is not the case, disconnect the power supply by briefly unplugging the AC
adaptor. If this measure is equally unsuccessful, inform the Service department.

– Slide the head slide up or down quite a ways. This will make the head slide pass a
mark which can be evaluated and the system can now calculate the position correct-
ly again.
9. Servicing/recalibration
Have the scales recalibrated by authorised persons in accordance with national legal
requirements. The year of initial calibration can be found behind the CE symbol on the
rating plate above the number of the appointed office, 0108 (Hamburg Calibration Of-
fice). Recalibration is required in all cases if one or more calibration seals have been
damaged or calibration counter contents does not match the number on the valid cali-
bration counter sticker (c.f. "Checking that the contents of the calibration counter are
correct"). We recommend having your scales serviced by your local service agent be-
fore having it recalibrated. Seca Customer Service will be pleased to give you further
assistance.
