Using your phone to view files shared by a
computer
You can use the network neighbourhood feature in Files to view files stored on your
computer.

Connect the computer and your phone to the same Wi-Fi network. For more
information on connecting your phone to a Wi-Fi network, refer to
Wi-Fi
network.

On the computer, enable sharing for files you want to access using your phone. For
more information about sharing files on your computer, refer to your operating system
instructions.

On the phone, open

In the Local tab, touch Network neighbourhood to view local network devices.
If no devices are listed, touch
step 1 and check that the computer and phone are connected to the same Wi-Fi
network.

Select the computer you want to connect to and enter the login username and
password. After logging in, you can use your phone to view files shared by the
computer.
To disconnect, return to the network neighbourhood list and touch and hold the
computer you are connected to.
You can also use network neighbourhood to access shared files on your TV box or
router if this feature is supported.
