Mulching finely cuts the grass so that it can be easily recycled. Due to
nutrients that this returns to the soil, the lawn will require less fertiliz-
er. To correctly mulch the lawn, follow the tips below.
- The grass must be dry. If the grass is wet, it will be difficult to cut
and cause heavey clumps of grass.
- Mulching should be carried out twice a week only taking as little
as possible from the length of grass.
- Cleaning the underside of the mower housing regularly ensures
effective operation.
Note: To prevent grass damage do not remove more than one
third of grass height in one cut.

Side Discharge - Step 1

Remove the side cover by removing the single screw in the top as
shown. Pinch the two release latches togehter to release the cover from
the opening and remove.
To fit the side discharge chute, locate bottom tab into the opening then
pinch the two latches and release into place. Check that it is fully fitted
and then replace screw as shown.
Lift rear deflector and slide the Mulcher Plug into the rear discharger
chute at rear of mower. Ensure that the plug is fully inserted and the rear
deflector closed.
Note: The Mulching Plug must be fitted for the side discharge chute
to work.
