12. Cleaning the device

CAUTION! Be sure to disconnect the USB cable from the computer before undertaking
any cleaning activity.
Do not clean with any solutions or aggressive or scouring cleaning agents, otherwise
the surfaces may become damaged.
Clean the equipment carefully using a soft, dry cloth. Remove stubborn dirt or soiling
by making the cloth slightly damp, but take care to allow no moisture whatsoever to
get into the equipment. Then rub the device completely dry.
To clean the scanner optics, please refer to Section 7 above, "Removing dust from the
scanner optics".

13. Disposal

13.1. Packaging
The product packaging is made from recyclable materials and can be
fed back into the recycling loop. Please dispose of it in an environmen-
tally responsible manner.
13.2. Device
Disposing of this product properly:
This sign draws attention to the fact that electrical equipment in the EU
is not permitted to be disposed of along with normal domestic refuse.
Please make use of the return and collection facilities off ered by your lo-
cal authority, or contact the dealer from whom this product was purcha-
sed.
