Water supply

Several options are available for plumbing a cascading system of
water heaters. The options shown here are examples only. The setup
you choose will vary depending on the installation location, local
building codes, and other factors. Follow all applicable regulations
when installing a cascade system.

Notice
The recommended minimum recirculation flow rate for each water
heater is 2 GPM.

Communication cables
To avoid electric shock, turn off the water heater while
connecting the wires.
Caution
Up to 8 water heaters can be connected with cascade
communication cables.
To connect the cascade communication cables:

Connect the cascade communication cable connector to the
connector socket on the PCB assembly.
Red(+)
Green(-)

Remove the plastic insulation from opposite ends of the
cascade communication cable.

Connect the cascade communication cables by matching the
colors (red, green).
Notice
Set the DIP switches after connecting the cascade communication
cables. For more information about setting the DIP switches, refer to
"Setting the DIP Switches (for Cascade System)" on page 30.
