5. Mute/Snooze and Test
Mute / Snooze
When Deafgard is used as an alarm clock, the Pillow Pad will vibrate and the LCD will
illuminate to show the time when the alarm is sounding. A Snooze and Mute function
can be used to delay the alarm.
Depressing Button 4 MUTE / SNOOZE will set the unit to snooze for 8 minutes, if the
snooze button is depressed again after 8 minutes the unit will enter snooze mode once
more but this time for 4 minutes.
Depress Button 4 MUTE / SNOOZE after these 4 minutes and you will again be left in
peace but this time for just 2 minutes, after these 2 minutes have elapsed the unit will
no longer let you snooze.
Test
As long as the unit is turned On, the unit can be tested.
To test the unit keep Button 4 MUTE / SNOOZE depressed until the strobe flashes and
the Pillow Pad vibrates. The test will only last for 5 seconds.
Note: the Pillow Pad will not vibrate when in the cradle.
