3 Troubleshooting Guide

CONDITION
The motor does not rotate.
The motor rotates, but dust cannot
be picked up.
Dust cannot be picked up.
Large vibration
Large noise
The motor output (suction power)
cannot be changed.
PARTS TO BE CHECKED
Power cord
Fuse (FUSE1: 250V, 10A)
(on the P.C.B)
Motor
ON/OFF switch (on the P.C.B)
P.C.B assy
Triac (in the P.C.B)
Dust bag (paper bag)
Filter
Hose, extension wand, floor
nozzle
Motor fan
P.C.B assy
CHECK METHOD
Check if the power cord is broken.
Inspect the cord in the cord reel
assy for continuity.
Visually check if the fuse has
blown.
• Check the cause of fusing.
1. Burnt motor or shorted coil
2. Shorted lead wire
3. Burnt P.C.B
etc.
Inspect the continuity between the
motor terminals.
Turn the switch on and off to check
the continuity.
Check the internal components for
problems.
(Burnt, melted, broken, etc.)
Check the triac by conducting the
following inspection.
Check if the paper bag is full of
dust.
Check if the filter is clogged with
dust.
Check if the part is clogged with an
obstruction.
Check for dust in the motor fan.
(If the dust leaks or if the filter is
missing, then dust will be able to
penetrate the motor.)
Check if the resistance of the out-
put control switch connected to the
P.C.B assy changes using a tester.
(Lead wires Red-Black Red-White).

REMEDY
If the cord is broken, replace the
cord reel assy.
If the fuse has blown, remove the
cause and replace the P.C.B assy.
If there is no continuity, replace the
motor.
If there is a problem, replace the
P.C.B assy.
If there is a problem, replace the
P.C.B assy.
If there is a problem, replace the
P.C.B assy.
If the paper bag is full of dust,
replace it with a new one.
If the filter is clogged with dust, and
clean or replace it.
If there is an obstruction, remove it.
There is dust in the motor.
Check for dust leaks and filter sta-
tus, and replace the part if neces-
sary.
If there is a problem, replace the
P.C.B assy.
