10. Built-in Camera

Taking Pictures

Taking pictures with your phone's built-in camera is as simple as
choosing a subject, pointing the lens, and pressing a button. You
can activate the phone's camera mode and take pictures
whether the phone is open or closed.
To take a picture with the phone open:
1. Select
> Pictures > Camera to activate camera mode.
(Additional options are available through the camera mode
Options menu. See "Camera Mode Options" on page 80 for
more information.)
Shortcut:
You can also activate camera mode by pressing and holding
2. Using the phone's main LCD as a viewfinder, aim the camera
lens at your subject.
3. To take a picture, press
side camera key until the shutter sounds. (The picture will be
saved in the In Camera folder.)
To return to camera mode, press
camera key.
4. Press Next (right softkey) for more options:
Take New Picture to return to camera mode to take
another picture.
Send to send your picture. (See page 86 for details.)
Upload to upload the picture you just took to the Xtra
Online Gallery.
Prints by Mail to order prints of the pictures by mail.
Note:
The Prints by Mail service is currently not available.
Set as to assign the picture. Select your desired option
and press
Details/Edit to edit or display your picture's details.
Delete to delete the picture you just took.
Pictures In Camera to go to the In Camera folder to review
your saved pictures.
