    Press the reset button to reset the GV-560. ➎ Earphone jack Plug in your earphone or headset to the earphone ➏ jack if needed. Mini USB port Connect the GV-560 to PC via the USB cable for ➐ data transferring and battery charging.

    Getting Started Before using the GV-560, please charge the battery by connecting the GV-560 to a PC or the AC adapter provided for more than 5 hours to get the best battery performance. Please note that the power switch has to be switched to “ON”.

    GV-560. Charging the GV-560 There are three methods to charge the GV-560. Connect the GV-560 and the car charger. Connect the USB cable to the GV-560 and your PC. Connect the GV-560 and the AC charger. (Optional)

    Lock 1. Place the GV-560 on the bottom of the cradle. 2. Push the GV-560 to the clip lock on the top of the cradle. 3. Clean your windshield with a lint-free cloth. 4. Place the suction cup on the windshield.

    Chapter Software Applications Main Menu Tap this icon to start the Navigation application. Tap this icon to enter the media menu which contains music player, video player, and photo viewer. Tap this icon to enter the setup menu which contains System Information, Power, Brightness, Region Setting, About, and Screen.

    Setup Menu Display the Flash memory capacity, SD card capacity, the PCB version and the firmware version information. Show battery status. While charging, the battery animation will be activated. Change backlight brightness. Set date, time, language, and time zone. Show product information. Calibrate touch screen.

    System Information Go back to Setup Menu. Brightness Adjust backlight brightness and the default is level 4. Cancel and go back to Setup Menu. Save setting and go back to Setup Menu.

    Show battery status. While charging, the battery animation will be activated. Tap to check the box to enable power saving. If the GV-560 is connected to the AC adapter, the power saving will be disabled even you check this box. Set the time for power saving.
  • Page 17 Regional Setting Set the time and date of your local area. Set the date. Select the language of the system. Set the time zone. Cancel and go back to Setup Screen. Save the setting you made and go back to Setup Screen.

    Music Player Tap this icon to play the next song. Tap this icon to play the the song. Tap this icon to pause the song. Tap this icon to play the previous song. Tap this button to stop playing. Play the songs in the order of the playlist. Shuffle the playlist.
  • Page 21 Edit Playlist Music Player will search for the “Music” folder of the SD card for all music files and display them on screen. Tap directly on the file name of the song to add or remove it from playing list. The song has been added to the list becomes blue. The song has been removed from the list becomes black.

    Photo Viewer Photo Viewer will search for the “Photo” folder of the SD card for all supported image files and display in thumbnail mode. Use up or down arrow buttons to scroll the page. Tap this icon to view this image in full screen mode. Go back to Media Menu.

    While moving, the GPS signal reception may be affected and the time to first fix will be longer. You can solve the problem by resting your car for a while for the GV-560 to get a fix. Please avoid excessive heat and humidity. Please do not leave the GV-560 in your car.
